India and South Africa will play a two-Test series, with the first match starting on November 14th in Kolkata. BCCI has announced Team India’s squad for this series. Rishabh Pant has returned to the team. However, not many changes have been made to the squad. Shubman Gill will once again lead the team, and Rishabh Pant has been reassigned to vice-captaincy.
The Indian team played its last series at home against the West Indies. The team performed exceptionally well in that series. Two changes have been made to the team since then. Rishabh Pant was injured during the England series and was therefore out of the team. During this time, Dhruv Jurel handled the wicketkeeping duties. N. Jagadeesan was also included in the team as a backup keeper. Now Jagadeesan is out, and Pant has returned in his place. Pant will now be the primary choice for wicketkeeping. Dhruv Jurel may be given a chance as a batsman.
