The current denominations of coins in India range from 50 paise to 20 rupees. Of these, 1 rupee, 2 rupees, 5 rupees and 10 rupees are easily available in the market and are widely used in daily transactions. The 20 rupee coin was introduced in recent years and is gradually becoming more widely used. The 50 paise coin is rare now, but it is still legal tender in the Indian monetary system. This means that it can be used in any government or bank transaction. The government has not officially demonetized it, so it retains its legal tender status. Coins of 75, 90, 125, 150 and 1000 rupees have also been issued. However, these coins are not generally used in daily transactions.
