Bhubaneswar trafic rules during durgapuja
Traffic restrictions have been imposed in the capital for Durga Puja from today. The police have said that these traffic restrictions will be in effect from today till the 2nd. The Commissionerate Police has imposed traffic restrictions from 2 pm to 2 am. The Commissionerate Police has issued traffic restrictions to control the crowd during the puja. The restrictions have been imposed in Bhubaneswar from today.

Know which route to take:
Heavy vehicles will not be allowed on the roads connecting Rasulgarh Chowk to Lingipur Chowk and the surrounding roads (Bamikhal, Laxmisagar, Simal, Ravi Takiz and Samantarapur Chowk). Heavy vehicles will also be prohibited on the surrounding roads connecting it (Rupali, Rajmahal Chowk).
Heavy vehicles have also been banned on the roads adjacent to Banavihar Chowk to Shishu Bhawan Chowk and Satyanagar, Ram Mandir, Master Cantonment and Acharya Vihar Chowk to Kalinga Hospital Chowk and Soldier School Chowk.
Heavy vehicles have also been banned from Acharya Bihar Chowk to New Airport Chowk and the surrounding roads connecting it.

There is also a ban on the roads from Jayadeva Bihar Chowk to Nandankanan Chowk and the surrounding roads connecting it.
The roads adjacent to Xavier, Kalinga Hospital, Damna and Patiya Chowk have been closed from Jaydev Bihar Chowk to Raj Bhavan Chowk and the surrounding roads connecting it.
The roads adjacent to Behera Sahi Chowk and Shastri Nagar Chowk have also been closed. The roads from C.R.P Chowk to Power House Chowk and the surrounding areas connecting it (Stuart School and Unit-8, adjacent to DAV School) have also been closed.
The road from Baramunda Fire Training School Chowk to Sishubhavana Chowk and the surrounding areas connecting it (adjacent to Paiknagar, Shiripur Chowk and Ganganagar Chowk) has been closed. The road from Khandagiri Chowk to Pokhariput Chowk and the surrounding areas connecting it (adjacent to Jagmara Chowk and Gandmunda Chowk) has been closed.

Heavy vehicles are also prohibited on both sides of National Highway 16, from Baramunda to Palasuni. All types of heavy vehicles coming towards Cuttack via Khordha will not be allowed to come towards Bhubaneswar. Those vehicles will be diverted from Patrapoli Chack to the left side of the road, via Bhaya Chandaka-Barang road and join National Highway 16 at Balikuda.
Similarly, heavy goods vehicles coming from Cuttack side to Khordha side will be diverted towards Patrapayli Chack via Chandaka Chack and Baranga Chack at Balikuda Chack. Keeping in view the traffic volume and number of devotees, entry of heavy vehicles from Patrapayli Chack and Birupa Birge will be restricted if necessary.
During ravan podi in Nayapalli, all vehicular traffic coming from Cuttack side on NH-16 will be diverted from Jaydev Bihar via Behers Sai, Shastri Nagar, Power House and Unit-8 DAV crossing to CRP Chowk or Fire Station Chowk. Similarly, traffic from CRP Chowk will be diverted towards Jaydev Bihar via Ekamra Kanna Road and Biju Patnaik College Road. For the convenience and safety of the public, the following restrictions have been imposed on the movement of passenger buses to and from Bhubaneswar on the above days.
