Fire breaks out on ship . A ship at Paradip Port caught fire while loading coal. Heavy smoke can be seen coming out. The incident took place at the Chennai Radha Berth of Paradip Port. The ship named Eco Colonel Monorvia caught fire while loading coal. Thermal coal was being loaded onto the ship through a conveyor belt at the Chennai Radha Berth.

Due to the fire, the ship was brought to the SQ-2 berth, the coal was removed from the ship and water was sprayed on it. Thermal coals are usually hot. They are loaded onto the ship by spraying water. It is believed that the incident took place because water was not sprayed during coal loading late at night.
