Application starts for Technical Graduate Course (TGC-142) 2026
To apply, candidates must be unmarried males and must have a BE/B.Tech degree, or be a final year engineering student. The age limit is between 20 and 27 years (born between 2 January 1999 and 1 January 2006). This recruitment will be a direct SSB interview and there will be no written exam. Successful candidates will receive training at the Indian Military Academy, Dehradun and later get a permanent commission. Training will be done in Dehradun
Upon selection in the Indian Army through TGT-142, candidates will get commission in various major corps. This includes prestigious branches like Corps of Engineers, Signal Corps, and Electronics & Mechanical Engineers. Selected candidates will have to undergo 12 months of training at IMA Dehradun as a trained officer of the Indian Army. After this, they will get a permanent commission in the rank of Lieutenant, giving them the opportunity to serve in the Indian Army as a permanent officer .
