Naveen Is Recovering, Sends Rath Yatra Greetings To Odisha People From Medical Bed : Former Chief Minister and BJD supremo Naveen Patnaik is recovering. From his medical bed, he has extended his greetings to the people of the state on the occasion of the world-famous Rath Yatra. In his message, he said, “Jai Jagannath,” and wished everyone happiness and prosperity on this holy festival. Naveen’s greetings have given information about his health and created enthusiasm in the minds of the people

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to former Odisha Chief Minister and Leader of the Opposition Naveen Patnaik over the phone last night to inquire about his health and wished him a speedy and full recovery.

Biju Janata Dal (BJD) president Naveen Patnaik recently underwent surgery for cervical arthritis at Mumbai’s Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital. His surgery was successfully completed on June 22 and he has now been shifted from the ICU to a private room, indicating improvement in his health. Senior BJD leader Sanjay Das Burma said, “With the blessings of Lord Jagannath, Naveen Patnaik is recovering well and is expected to return to Odisha in the first week of July.”
After the news of Naveen’s surgery broke, people from across Odisha and the country offered their prayers and wishes for his speedy recovery. Hundreds of supporters and well-wishers gathered at the Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar to bid him farewell.

Naveen himself had given an update on his health condition on June 18 through his official e-handle. He wrote, “As per the advice of doctors, I will undergo a procedure for cervical arthritis at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, Mumbai on June 22. With the blessings of Lord Jagannath and the best wishes of my brothers in Odisha, I hope to return soon and continue serving you.”
